Red Mountain Park projects $ millions in benefits

March 29, 2011

Red Mountain Park promises great beauty, amazing trails and views and a special new place for our community to gather in the great outdoors. And then there’s the economic impact, a projected $22.4 million a year once the park is completed.

At a recent meeting, officials released figures projecting a one-time economic impact of more than $175 million during construction, increases of 3 to 5 percent in property values around the park after completion and hundreds of jobs directly or indirectly supporting development in and around the park.

That sounds like a great way to improve our economic as well as physical health. Find out more about this community asset that we are featuring this week and how you can be part of the next phase of support.
