Health Action Partners show results for 2010

February 1, 2011

1,000 ideas for Our One Mile, 1,200 hours of planning for nutrition and physical activity planning in 40 sites, 12 Youth Empowerment Program clubs helping students fight tobacco use and 120 new jobs in Jefferson County. These numbers tell just part of the impact of the Jefferson County Health Action Partnership in 2010.

As one of the key partners in this great coalition, created by the Jefferson County Department of Health, your Community Foundation is proud of the progress we are making, as we work together to make the healthy choice the easy choice in our community. We look forward to continued input from our community as the Freshwater Land Trust continues to work on a greenways plan through Our One Mile. We look forward to more nutritious school lunches, thanks to training for cafeteria workers, and to greater awareness through the Champions for Health media campaign.
