Who is your most important Volunteer in Philanthropy?

September 21, 2010

Every nonprofit, including your Community Foundation, depends on so many generous people for gifts of time, talent and treasure. That’s why we enjoy the chance to honor that generous spirit at each year’s National Philanthropy Day.

The Alabama Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals takes the lead on making this event happen and selecting top winners each year in categories such as Outstanding Civic Leader and Outstanding Philanthropist. AFP also offers individual nonprofits a chance to honor their own special VIPs, which in this case stands for Volunteer in Philanthropy.

You can find out more on our website about the Nov. 18 luncheon and how you can honor your own VIP with a table purchase (deadline Sept. 30). Individual tickets and tables also are available through Nov. 5. Make time now on your calendar to celebrate this special event and ALL the winners for 2010.
