BBA survey got plenty of answers to help with regional plan

May 4, 2010

If you were one of 2,300 people who filled out the on-line survey for Birmingham Business Alliance last winter, you were part of helping our new economic development organization move forward with a plan for regional success. According to Dalton Smith, BBA president and CEO, the consultants conducting the on-line survey said our response was much greater than what they have seen in communities of similar size.

That’s no surprise to the Community Foundation, because we know that people are hungry for positive change. And when you are hungry, you take active steps, like sharing your Imagine statements with us and filling out surveys and participating in focus groups for BBA.

We look forward to satisfying our hunger for positive change through a regional plan we can all be proud of. Over the next few months, BBA will be looking for partners, including your Community Foundation, to tackle challenges and build on many of the strengths you shared in the survey and interviews.

Specific recommendations are expected by September as part of Blueprint Birmingham, an economic development planning process for the seven-county Birmingham region. Find out why we think your responses to Birmingham Blueprint were a great way to love our community, or read the report that is part of the planning process.
