Plan ahead for your spot at the Summit

January 27, 2010

Are you a board member at an Alabama nonprofit? Are you a nonprofit staff member struggling with shrinking donations and increasing needs? In just over a month, the Alabama Association of Nonprofits (formerly Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama) hosts its 2010 Nonprofit Summit, with something for everyone.

At the pre-Summit on Tuesday, March 2, you can hear from Kristin McSwain with the Corporation for National and Community Service. As director of AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA and all community service and volunteerism initiatives for this federal agency, she offers cutting-edge strategies for growing volunteerism and civic engagement.

If you are a fundraiser for your organization, you may also want to take advantage of a partnership between the Alabama Association of Nonprofits and the Alabama Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) to present the CFRE Review Course at the same time as the Summit. Members of either AFP or The Association pay only $250 for the complete review course. Click here to see details and register for the Review Course or go to the main Association website to check out savings for multiple participants from the same organization.

Your Community Foundation will be there, as a founding and continuing sponsor of The Association. We’ll see you March 2 and 3 at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center off U.S. 280.
