Leno premiere boosts The Women’s Fund

September 9, 2009

Mavis Leno showed her concern for the issue of domestic violence with a previous appearance to benefit the Voices Against Violence initiative of The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham . On Sept. 14, a special premiere party for her husband’s new television show continues the family connection.

NBC-13 is hosting the party as a kickoff for the new Jay Leno Show, with ticket sales benefiting The Women’s Fund. It’s a night of fun on Monday, Sept. 14, from 7 to 10:35 p.m., for a good cause, featuring comic and Leno joke writer Joe Hobby at the Comedy Club Stardome, 1818 Data Drive in Hoover.

You can purchase your $6.50 ticket through the Stardome website or by calling 444-0008. All sections are reserved seating, so get your friends together and order as a group. The theater opens at 6 p.m., and a special time for The Women’s Fund and NBC-13 starts at 7 p.m. Joe Hobby takes the stage at 8 p.m., leading up to the first night of the Jay Leno Show, featuring guest Jerry Seinfeld, at 9 p.m. and NBC13 News at Ten.

Find out more on The Women’s Fund’s Facebook link to the event or on The Women’s Fund website.
