Tom Thompson takes interim NRCA post

July 22, 2009

The Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama has always been a great partnership, drawing on the talents of many of its members and board representatives in ordert to continue its suppot of training and resources for our important nonprofit sector. This week, Tom Thompson, one of those partners, is stepping up to serve as interim director on a part-time basis, following the resignation of Molly McGregor

In making the announcement, current NRCA Board President Sue McInnish made clear that the staff and board are committed to “strengthening and supporting Alabama nonprofit organizations,” just as those same nonprofits serve their own communities.

As one of the founding partners of NRCA in the mid-1990s, the Community Foundation is glad to see NRCA continue as a resource for training and other needs. We look forward to another great Summit in 2010, complete with informative educational sessions and resources, chaired by Suzanne Durham of the YWCA.

In partnership with the National Council of Nonprofits and other state affiliates across the country, NRCA is in a great place to take advantage of the latest and best opportunities to grow and adapt in times that are challenging for everyone, nonprofits included. Find out more about the great work of NRCA on their website or contact Tom Thompson if you have questions.
